President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Dh. Maaen'boodhoo Island Council, the Women's Development Committee (WDC), and heads of institutions to address the island's essential developmental needs at the Secretariat of the Maaen'boodhoo Council.
During the discussions, the Council urged officials to ensure that ongoing projects proceed without hindrance, highlighting issues with internet access and emphasising the need to develop sustainable waste management methods. The Council also addressed the sporting needs of the island's youth.
The President discussed the Government's efforts to implement ongoing projects, with Cabinet Ministers and heads of State-owned companies providing updates on current island projects.
Prior to the meeting, the President inaugurated the Dh. Maaen'boodhoo Health Centre extension wing, followed by the new Bank of Maldives (BML) ATM service on the island.
