President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mohamed Zahid as President and Abdul Rahman Salah Rasheed as Vice President of the Elections Commission (EC).
This appointment was made pursuant to Section 7 of Act No. 8/2008 (Elections Commission Act).
Both individuals were appointed as members of the Elections Commission on January 26 this year.
