His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated His Excellency Bart De Wever on being sworn in as the new Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium.
In his letter addressed to Prime Minister De Wever, President Dr Muizzu wished the Prime Minister a successful tenure in office and expressed his confidence in the Prime Minister’s ability to deliver on the aspirations of the Belgian people.
President Dr Muizzu also reflected on the nearly five decades of amicable ties between the Maldives and Belgium which he noted are marked by mutual respect and good will. The President expressed his commitment to work together to advance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two countries and on global issues of common interest.
