President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has assured the Maldivian citizens that the nation will continue its path of development, fortified by the unity and stability all desire.
He made this assurance during a meeting with residents of HA. Hoarafushi during his ongoing visit to islands in the North Thiladhunmathi Atoll.
In his address, President Dr Muizzu emphasised that every Maldivian should be united in the pursuit of national development. He encouraged citizens to view each national achievement as a source of personal joy and pride, urging all to be patriotic and prioritise love for their nation. He stressed that true progress is only possible when people are united by such patriotic love, and that stability and unity are essential for achieving complete success.
Highlighting the nation's current stability, the President expressed his hope for its continuation and his confidence that comprehensive development will follow with the cooperation of the Maldivian people. He also noted the need for evolving approaches to national issues, emphasising that this is a shared responsibility.
The President stated that uniting for national development should be a source of pride in being Maldivian, with other considerations, such as political differences, taking a secondary role. He characterised this unity as a vital contribution to the nation.
Reaffirming the constitutional rights of every citizen, President Dr Muizzu assured that the current Government will guarantee these rights. He reminded citizens that they are free to pursue any lawful activity, whilst emphasising that no one has the right to act outside the law.
Concluding his address, the President appealed to every citizen to consider fostering unity and harmony as a personal responsibility. He reiterated that this is the Government's policy and assured his commitment to upholding the constitutional rights of all citizens. He firmly assured the Maldivian citizens that he will not allow any attempts to destabilise the country through illegal means.
