President His Excellency Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Wednesday conveyed his felicitations to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, on the occasion of Qatar's National Day.
In his letters to the Amir and Prime Minister, the President extended warm greetings and good wishes from the Government and people of the Maldives to the leadership and people of Qatar on this jubilant occasion. He expressed confidence in preserving and nurturing the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Dr Muizzu further underscored Qatar's role as a close development partner of the Maldives and emphasised the Government's deep commitment to fortifying the bonds of friendship, close cooperation and people-to-people connections between the two nations.
The President expressed his best wishes for the good health and wellbeing of the Amir and Prime Minister, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Qatar.
The National Day of Qatar is celebrated on the 18th of December each year.
The President also extended National Day greetings via a post on his official X account.
