Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of the Maldives, Her Excellency Wang Lixin has paid her farewell call on President His Excellency Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
During the meeting, the President extended his greetings and best wishes to the Ambassador, expressing gratitude for her contributions during her tenure. He highlighted China’s vital role in aiding developmental projects for various sectors of the Maldives.
Ambassador Wang expressed her gratitude to the President and the Maldivian government for the unwavering support provided during her tenure. She commended the Government's resilience, remarkable achievements, and positive development throughout the year. She also emphasised that the partnership between the two nations is founded on mutual respect and shared interests.
The meeting included discussions on the progress of ongoing projects initiated by China and explored potential areas for further collaboration.
The call concluded with the President and the Ambassador reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the relationship between Maldives and China.
