The Governor of Karnataka, His Excellency Thawar Chand Gehlot calls on the President His Excellency Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Wednesday.
The President was accompanied by First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed and a high-level delegation from the Maldivian government.
During the call, the Governor emphasised the significance of President Dr Muizzu’s state visit to India, and the enduring close relations between the two neighbouring countries.
President Dr Muizzu thanked the Government of India for the generous hospitality. The President also stated that the discussions during his state visit have been constructive, particularly highlighting the success of the business forums in New Delhi and Mumbai, with another scheduled in Bangalore today.
Chief Minister of Karnataka, His Excellency Siddaramaiah, who was also present, emphasised the developing bilateral relationship between the Maldives and Karnataka, and expressed a readiness to share expertise through educational and cultural exchange programs. Both parties reiterated commitment to further enhance bilateral ties.
