President His Excellency Dr Mohamed Muizzu extended congratulations to His Excellency Shigeru Ishiba, the new Prime Minister of Japan.
In a letter sent to Prime Minister Ishiba, President Dr Muizzu wished success in his new role and expressed confidence for further progress of Japan under the Prime Minister’s leadership. The President further expressed his commitment to work with the government of Japan to strengthen the long-standing Maldives-Japan friendly relations, noting that Japan has consistently made significant contributions to the development of the Maldives.
In closing the President expressed well wishes to Prime Minister Ishiba, as well as wishes for the progress and prosperity of the people of Japan.
