President H.E. Dr Mohamed Muizzu congratulated Rt Honourable KP Sharma Oli following his appointment as the Prime Minister of Nepal.
In a post shared on social media platform X, the President stated that the Maldives and Nepal enjoy close people-to-people connections, and he looks forward to working closely with the Prime Minister of Nepal to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Nepal was established on 01 August 1980.
