President Dr Muizzu departs to India to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers

President H.E. Dr Mohamed Muizzu, accompanied by a high-level Maldivian delegation, departed to the Republic of India tonight, at the invitation of Prime Minister of India, H.E. Narendra Modi. The President's visit is to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers of the Government of India.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 9, with the attendance of leaders from neighbouring and other countries.

This visit marks President Dr Muizzu's first official visit to India since assuming office on November 17, 2023.
