Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef inaugurated the second batch of the Marriott International Maldives Apprenticeship Program this evening. This program is conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information, and Arts' National Apprenticeship Program.

The National Apprenticeship Program is a nationwide initiative that enables individuals to learn, develop, and gain employment experience under the mentorship of industry professionals. The first batch of participants in Marriott International's National Apprenticeship Program is currently gaining employment.

The program adheres to the standards set by the Maldives National Skills Development Authority and aims to provide youth with nationally recognized training in various fields of skilled labor.

The National Apprenticeship Program focuses on six primary areas: tourism, transportation, construction, social sector, fisheries and agriculture, and information and communications technology.

At today’s ceremony, the Vice President presented letters to 25 participants enrolled in the second batch of the National Apprenticeship Program, which currently has a total of 60 participants.
