President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced that L. Gan Island will have the most housing projects in comparison to other housing projects implemented across the country. He made these remarks while speaking at the community meeting with the residents of Gan Island.
As such, the President indicated that the nationwide housing project would prioritise areas with larger land areas. He further stated that all of the development projects that the Gan people had put forward would be carried out.
Speaking further, the President declared that the government's official policy included doing everything necessary to transform Gan Regional Hospital into a tertiary-level hospital at the highest level, as he had promised. He additionally announced that an international mental healthcare hospital would be established in Gan Island.
Gan Island was the final island the President visited as part of his official visit to several islands in Laamu Atoll.
