President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Council of Lh. Olhuvelifushi and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) to discuss the most important development initiatives of the island. The meeting took place at Kurendhoo, Habashee Pre-School today.
In the meeting, the Council raised concerns regarding the delayed commencement of harbour construction, the imperative need for completing the water supply and sanitation system, improving the island's electricity supply, and facilitating easier access to sea ambulance services.
Additionally, the Women's Development Committee highlighted the necessity of Ramadan allowances for its members and shed light on budget constraints hindering the renovation of the committee's building.
The President provided updates on the Council's significant concerns, with the attending Ministers. He also assured that issues related to sea ambulance services would be promptly addressed.
