President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Dhaalu Atoll Meedhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) and discussed the most important developmental plans for the island. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of Dhaalu Atoll Meedhoo Island Council.

Speaking at the meeting, Council Members identified housing as the most critical need of the residential population. They expressed concerns about the necessity for improved electricity, water, and sanitation services for the newly reclaimed area. Additionally, they emphasised the importance of waste management services and road development with drainage to be implemented on the island. Council members also highlighted the need for a modernized Children's Park, the advancement of the fisheries sector, and other social issues facing the island community.

At today's meeting, WDC members specifically pointed out the lack of a swimming area on the island.
