President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Kudahuvadhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) and discussed their developmental needs. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of Dhaalu Atoll Council.
During the meeting with the President, the Council members underlined the insufficient space in the harbour, and outlined their plans to continue the project in line with the aspirations of the people. They highlighted the importance of expediting the expansion of essential utility services, such as water and electricity networks, to newly populated areas on the island. Furthermore, Members stressed the necessity of constructing more housing units, establishing a fish processing factory, addressing beach erosion, and enhancing healthcare services on the island.
The WDC members requested the resumption of national identity card issuance services on the island.
During the meeting, President Dr Muizzu assured the Council and WDC members that he would address their concerns. He also provided the latest updates on the issues raised by the Council through the Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials present.
