President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Goidhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) and discussed the most critical needs of the island community. The meeting was held today at the Secretariat of Hithaadhoo Island Council.
At the meeting, Council Members underscored the urgency of resolving space constraints at the health centre, the necessity for its upgrade and the introduction of laboratory services. Members also emphasised the need for harbour renovation, the development of a beach, tourism zone development, and the provision of water & sanitation, and electricity services to the designated zone.
At the meeting, WDC members expressed the importance of securing a land plot for economic activities. President Dr Muizzu and Cabinet Ministers present at the meeting provided the latest updates on the issues raised by the Council.
