President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the B. Kendhoo Council members and discussed the key concerns for the island's development. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the B. Kendhoo Council.
During the meeting, Council Members underscored the importance of land reclamation, the need for a spacious harbour, road enhancements, the establishment of a social center, and the construction of a two-story mosque. Additionally, members requested the extension of Kendhoo's jurisdiction to encompass the nearby uninhabited island, Keyodhoo, for industrial purposes, emphasizing the prioritization of crucial initiatives for the island's social development.
The Kendhoo Women's Development Committee (WDC) expressed concern over the absence of a conducive work environment.
The President provided the most recent updates on the issues raised by the Council through the Government officials present at the meeting.
