President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the N. Fohdhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the South Miladhunmadulu Atoll Holhudhoo Council.
At the meeting, Council members shared their development needs, and highlighted challenges faced by the island's community. Issues raised included the need to establish ATM services on the island, given the rising local tourism statistics, a youth centre, the development of a park, and the urgency to expedite harbour development.
The Fohdhoo WDC members expressed the challenges faced due to budget constraints.
In response, the President stated that the Administration would work towards addressing the points raised by the Council. The Ministers in attendance shared the latest updates on the Government's efforts to address the issues.
