President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the HDh. Nolhivaram Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the South Thiladhunmathi Atoll Council.
At the meeting, Council members shared their development needs with the President. They emphasised the need to expand the harbour, employ single-session schooling, upgrade the health centre to a hospital, implement proper waste management, and provide water and electricity service coverage to agricultural fields. Additionally, they conveyed the need to develop sporting facilities and ATM services on the island. The Council members also requested the resumption of halted projects slated for the island.
Speaking at the meeting, WDC members also shared their challenges with the President.
In response, the President agreed to explore feasible solutions to address the concerns raised at the meeting.
