President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the HDh. Kumundhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the South Thiladhunmathi Atoll Council.
The Council members noted the numerous complaints received due to the previous Administration's lack of vision in designating developmental projects for the island. They communicated the need to establish a waste management centre, the predicaments caused by the lack of a medical laboratory at the health centre, resolving harbour-related challenges, and developing income-generating economic activities for the island community. In addition, they relayed the need for housing opportunities for the residents of Kumundhoo Island.
In response, the President committed to addressing and exploring solutions to the concerns raised at the meeting.
