President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the members of the HDh. Kurin'bi Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC). The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the South Thiladhunmathi Atoll Council on Monday night.
During the meeting, the Council requested that the Administration expedite the stalled projects on the island. They also noted the need for waste management, a multipurpose hall at the school, and a 24-hour service at the island health centres. Furthermore, the Council requested that the Government allocate a budget to construct an artificial beach on the island and operate the preschool.
Additionally, Kurin'bi Island’s WDC expressed concerns regarding the inability to conduct activities due to budgetary constraints.
In response, the President stated that the Administration would work towards addressing the points raised by the Council. The Ministers in attendance shared the latest updates on the Government's efforts to address the issues raised by the Council.
