The President met with the HDh. Nolhivaranfaru Island Council and WDC members. The meeting was held at Nolhivaranfaru School on Sunday night.
The Council members briefed the President on their developmental requirements throughout the meeting. These include the police station initiative, the acceleration of road construction, and the establishment of a new school. A salary increase for the administrative staff of the Council, an improved transport system, and the enhancement of sports facilities for youth development were also among their requests. In addition, they relayed their desire to witness the implementation of the budgeted developmental initiatives.
Furthermore, they conveyed their assurance that every commitment by the Administration would be wholly fulfilled and expressed their gratitude to the President for fostering such strong relationships with them.
Members of the Nolhivaranfaru WDC emphasised their budgetary constraints.
The President acknowledged the necessity of increasing the WDC Committee's budget and outlined the Administration's strategy. Moreover, the President assured them that the Administration would thoroughly address the issues raised during the meeting.
