President Dr Mohamed Muizzu announced the land reclamation project at Vashafaru will commence this year. He made these remarks while speaking with the residents of HA. Vashafaru Island during his current tour of several islands in the Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, Shaviyani, and Noonu Atolls.
Reiterating his commitment to providing laboratory services at health centers on every island to serve the local population, the President affirmed that one would also be established in Vashafaru as part of this initiative. The President also shared his plans for the establishment of a waste management center on the island.
Further, the President assured that he would fulfill all the pledges made for Vashafaru Island.
Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef and several Cabinet Ministers accompanied the President during his visit to Vashafaru.
