President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the members of the North Thiladhunmathi Atoll Council Sunday morning. The meeting was held at the HA Atoll Education Center.
During the meeting, the Atoll Council members emphasised the need to modernise services at the Atoll Hospital. They also highlighted various pressing issues within the atoll, noting that the Council has communicated their needs and concerns to the relevant ministries. Members discussed strategies to enhance income in the HA Atoll region and urged the Administration to improve transportation infrastructure.
Additionally, members highlighted budget constraints and a shortage of space in council offices on some islands in the HA Atoll. As the atoll is a designated fishing area, they requested the installation of Fish Aggregating Devices.
Speaking at the meeting, President Dr Muizzu assured his commitment to making every effort to implement recommendations for the atoll's improvement. In addition, he emphasized swift solutions and resolving the most pressing issues.
