President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the HA. Filladhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC). The meeting was held at Vashafaru School this afternoon.
At the meeting, Council Members conveyed that they had communicated their needs and concerns to the relevant ministries, emphasising the urgency of resolving these issues. Reflecting the concerns of the island community, council members underscored the importance of effective waste management on the island and proposed enhancements to the island's harbour.
WDC members highlighted the need to facilitate opportunities for women in different fields.
Addressing the meeting, the President assured that he would collaboratively determine the way forward with the relevant Government authorities to address the challenges raised by the Council. Cabinet Ministers shared updates on the Administration's efforts on the issues highlighted.
