President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the members of the GDh. Nadella Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC). The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Madaveli Island Council today.
During the meeting, the Council members underlined the island's shortage of ports, erosion, limited space in schools and health centres, and the requirement to increase the capacity of the island's power plant. Furthermore, the members relayed the need for land reclamation and expansion of the agricultural sector to create employment opportunities for young people, as well as other development plans.
In response, the President reassured the Council that the Administration would remain steadfast in delivering on its developmental commitments to the island.
