President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the members of the GDh. Fiyoaree Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC). The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Fiyoaree Island Council today.
At the meeting, the Council members outlined their most prominent needs and developmental concerns, including establishing a cold storage facility and a fish factory on the island. They additionally stressed the issues of space constraints at the school, the need for increasing the powerhouse capacity, challenges in healthcare services, difficulties in housing, and the need for a proper drainage system in the agricultural fields. The members also shared the financial constraints faced by the Council with the President.
Speaking at the meeting, the President reassured the council that the Administration would remain steadfast in delivering on its developmental commitments to the island. Furthermore, the President communicated that the concerns raised by the council have been duly noted and will be looked into.
