The Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office, Mohamed Shahyb, stated that the Government kicks off regular Press Conferences of ministries and State owned enterprises (SOEs) this week at Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu in Senako Malam to provide the public with information on the activities of government ministries and other government agencies. He made these remarks at a press conference held at the President's Office to convey information about the government's initiatives, efforts, and activities.
Providing the details of government ministries press conference, the chief spokesperson, indicated that the first such press conference was held on Monday, December 25. The press conference was arranged by the Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture, and Heritage at Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu in Senako Malam. According to Shahyb, more ministries would organise similar press conferences in the future.
The President's Office Chief Spokesperson remarked that the President's Office has been holding news conferences to update the public about cabinet decisions. He noted that such news conferences are also scheduled to ensure that the government informs the public in the most transparent manner possible.
Responding to questions from the media, the Chief Spokesperson stated that the administration would not interfere with the judiciary in any manner and would adhere to the Presidential pledges.
During the press conference, the Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office, Mohamed Shahyb, answered questions from journalists and clarified various public interest issues.
