President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has called on the international community to build on the United Nations Security Council resolution and take stronger and more concrete steps to immediately end all hostilities and guarantee the rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination. He made this statement via a social media post on X today.
Stating that the UN Security Council resolution adopted yesterday was a step in the right direction, the President added, “But let us be clear, aid cannot be safely delivered in the middle of airstrikes. The people of Palestine continue to face brutal attacks." He further stated that the Maldives expected prompt implementation of the resolution.
