The Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs of the Organisation for Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Yousef Al-Dobeay, paid a courtesy call on H.E. President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday afternoon at the President’s Office.

During the meeting, President Dr Muizzu expressed gratitude to Assistant Secretary General Yousef Al-Dobeay for attending the swearing-in ceremony. He reaffirmed the commitment to collaborate with the OIC on shared interests, focusing on the peace and prosperity of Islamic countries.

Assistant Secretary General Yousef Al-Dobeay congratulated President Dr Muizzu on the successful swearing-in event on behalf of other OIC members. He expressed confidence that President Dr Muizzu's capable administration would drive swift progress in the Maldives.

Further, discussions were held on the OIC’s efforts to address challenges faced in Islamic countries, with a specific focus on advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza, Palestine.

Moreover, H.E. Yousef Al-Dobeay emphasized the OIC's dedication to collaborating with the Maldives government and reiterated the organization's commitment to assisting the Maldives and its people in every possible way.
