President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih unveiled the newly developed harbour on Hulhudhoo Island in Addu City on Thursday. The event was part of President Solih's ongoing tour of the islands in the city. The new harbour will enhance accessibility and safety for residents and visitors, facilitating transportation and trade.

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) completed the harbour development project on Hulhudhoo Island. The project encompassed a range of significant enhancements, including dredging the harbour basin and channel, construction of the breakwater and quay wall, and installing a ramp for landing crafts. Additionally, port lights were installed, pavement was constructed, and a dedicated beach area outside the port was established.

Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has made significant strides towards equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes improving the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives. During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
