President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the completion of several developmental projects on Molhadhoo Island in Haa Alifu Atoll on Wednesday. During his visit to the island, the President inaugurated the harbour, new powerhouse, and FENAKA Office.

President Solih officially opened the harbour on Molhadhoo Island at a ceremony held this afternoon. The newly opened harbour measures 645 feet in length and 250 feet in width. The new harbour is expected to facilitate transportation to and from the island, addressing many challenges previously faced by the residents.

The President officially opened the new powerhouse and FENAKA Office in a separate ceremony. The new powerhouse is approximately three times larger than the previous one, and the FENAKA Office, which previously accommodated four staff members, can now accommodate 30. These developments are part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to improve electricity services on islands nationwide.

Guided by the leadership of President Solih, the administration has made tremendous progress in achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. By enhancing the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives, the administration is creating a brighter future for all.
