President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the completion of the water and sewerage project, the new powerhouse, and the FENAKA Office on Uligamu Island in Haa Alifu Atoll on Wednesday. The inaugurations took place during the President’s visit to the island as part of his tour of Haa Alifu Atoll.

Static Company Pvt. Ltd. implemented the water and sewerage project on Uligamu Island. The project addresses challenges faced by residents in accessing clean drinking water and sanitation services.

The powerhouse built on Uligamu Island is equipped with modern facilities and is located away from the residential area. It can generate 458 Kilowatts of electricity. These initiatives are part of the administration’s commitment to addressing the challenges island residents face.

Under the leadership of President Solih, the administration has made significant progress towards achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. This includes improving the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives.
