President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih officially inaugurated on Sunday the newly developed powerhouse on M. Raiymandhoo Island in Meemu Atoll as part of his visit to the island. The new powerhouse will provide residents with a reliable and efficient electricity supply.
The new powerhouse, situated away from the residential area, has sufficient space for extra services and eliminates the problems caused by the old powerhouse in the residential area. The power plant has three generator sets with a combined capacity of 480 KW.
President Solih’s administration has advanced equitable development across all inhabited islands. This includes enhancing the living conditions and dignity of citizens.
