President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday met with the senior management teams of healthcare facilities in the South Miladhunmadulu Atoll. Discussions at the meeting, held at the Secretariat of N. Holhudhoo Island, focused on ways to address the challenges to ensuring quality healthcare services in the region.
At the meeting, members of the management teams highlighted the positive developments in the healthcare sector led by President Solih and his administration. They also shared with the President their most pressing challenges, including budget constraints and a shortage of human resources, and discussed ways to improve healthcare services in the atoll further.
Speaking with them, the President stated that the administration aims to authorise healthcare facilities to manage their budget and finances. He also said that the administration would work towards seeking amicable solutions to the concerns raised at the meeting.
