President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has made the decision to hold a ceremony on Thursday evening to honour long-serving employees of the President’s Office. The ceremony would be held at the Maldives Centre for Social Education at 8.30 p.m.
Current and former employees who have served in the President’s Office in permanent posts for over 20 years would be presented with plaques of appreciation at the ceremony. The President made the decision as he believes in honouring the service and professionalism of the staff of the President’s Office and considers their dedication and long service to the office since its founding on November 11, 1968.
He would present plaques to 126 recipients, among whom 20 recipients would be posthumous.
