First Lady Fazna Ahmed on Tuesday spent time with a group of children in the Official Residence of the President, Mulee’aage, giving them a glimpse of her work. The six children, organised by the Child and Family Protection Services, spent the day with the First Lady as part of the National Children’s Day celebrations.
The event allowed the children to observe the First Lady at work, inquire about her undertakings, and get insight into her efforts in child development. It also served as an opportunity for the children to share their views and visions on issues concerning themselves. The First Lady also spoke with the group about their expectations and needs.
National Children’s Day is celebrated annually on May 10.
