Vice President Faisal Naseem has held a meeting today with the relevant authorities and urged them to address the issues faced by students enrolled at the Asian Academy of Aeronautics (AAA) established at Addu City. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President's Office and was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Dr Ibrahim Hassan, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Aishath Nahula and other relevant senior officials.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice President Faisal Naseem expounded mainly on finding permanent solutions to the concerns and issues raised by students of AAA. He highlighted that nurturing a resourceful youth workforce and providing them with opportunities to improve through training and education is a key priority of this Administration.
Vice President Faisal Naseem also noted that the Government recognises that one of the most frequent concerns raised by students of the flying academy is that completion of training at AAA is often delayed by years, leading to greatly increased expenditure and opportunity cost for the students. He urged them to work together with the AAA to find a solution that would address their concerns and allow them to complete their pilot training within a reasonable time frame.
