In his message commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Eid Milad ul-Nabi, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih expressed that we should learn from the example set by the early Islamic community, to drive our socio-economic progress.  The President also extended his warmest felicitations to the public, and to Muslim leaders and communities throughout the world, on this blessed occasion.  

 

The President noted that we should use this day to reflect on one of the greatest blessings bestowed upon the world by Almighty Allah, through his beloved messenger, Muhammad Rasūl Allāh Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (SAW): the revelation of the Islamic faith. He further expressed that this occasion is an opportune time to spread Islamic values and principles, such as strengthening our bonds with kin, promoting justice and compassion, as well as helping and being kind to one another.  

 

Concluding the message, the President encouraged all to nurture Islam in their hearts by practicing the values and principles taught by the holy Prophet.
