Vice President Faisal Naseem has held an online discussion today with regards to the societal problems in Addu City Hulhumeedhoo and plans to upgrade the health services being provided in the City. Minister of Health, Abdulla Ameen, Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services, Aishath Mohamed Didi, and Doctors and Health Service Representatives native to Addu City Hulhumeedhoo joined the discussion.

Discussions during the meeting included upgrading the currently available health services available at the island, with the Health Service Representatives recommending new health-related services to be introduced. They provided details of the services that are currently lacking in the City and how they may be initiated. They further highlighted their commitment to creating a drug-free society in Hulhumeedhoo and expressed their readiness to provide expertise and aid.

Minister Abdullah Ameen and Minister Aishath Mohamed Didi also spoke during the discussions, providing the participants with the latest updates of relevant projects and proposals. Both Ministers also collectively stated that collaboration with the residents and officials of the City is imperative to implement the plans at maximum efficiency.

Vice President Faisal Naseem also spoke during the discussions, praising the participants native to Addu City Hulhumeedhoo for their tireless efforts to improve their birth city and enhance the lives of the residents. He spoke about some of the projects undertaken by the Government to address the issue of narcotics abuse in the country, highlighting the projects dedicated to Addu City. The Vice President stressed that the Government is completely impartial in their charge to create a nurturing, narcotic-free society in all regions of the country, and that priority is afforded to regions that have the greatest need. He also urged the participants to work together with the relevant institutions to find ideal solutions to the concerns presented during the discussions.
