President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has today appointed a new President and a new member to the Employment Tribunal.

The newly appointed President of the Employment Tribunal is Uz Amjad Musthafa, who had previously served as the Vice Chairman and Commissioner of Elections Commission of Maldives. He also served as a Board Director of Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC).

Uz Musthafa holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Anglia Ruskin University (UK), in Sri Lanka, and a Bachelor of Arts in Shari’ah and Law from the Islamic University of Maldives.

The newly appointed member to the Employment Tribunal is Uz Hassan Ibrahim. Uz Ibrahim previously served as Head of Department, MBA course coordinator and lecturer at the MNU Business School. He also served as Director General at the Prosecutor General Office.

Uz Ibrahim holds a Masters in Management from Australian National University, Australia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Shari’ah and Law from the Islamic University of Maldives.
