The Cabinet Members have held in-depth discussions concerning the additional safety and security measures to enforce in light of the World Health Organization (WHO) declaring COVID-19 a pandemic. The discussion was held this morning at today's Cabinet Meeting at the President’s Office.

During today's meeting, Cabinet Ministers underscored the additional measures that must be taken into consideration in the event that the outbreak of COVID-19 in the Maldives persists and further deliberated on the imminent tasks if the current 'Yellow' emergency level to has to be revised to 'Orange' level, which depicts severe and significant emergency conditions in the country. The Cabinet Members also discussed the work being undertaken by the government in preparation for the situation at hand.
