President appoints new Deputy Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has this morning appointed Abdul Shukoor Abdul Hakeem as the Deputy Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services. Before his new appointment, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Children’s Home in Villimalé.

Abdul Shukoor Abdul Hakeem holds a Master of Science in Education Leadership and Management Certificate, and a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field, from the National Institute of Education, Sri Lanka. He also served for 26 years in the education sector.
