President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has this afternoon met with the Councillors of Kendhikulhudhoo Island of Noonu Atoll. Discussions at the meeting, held at the President’s Office, were focused on the developmental plans of the island and concerns of its residents.
Some of the concerns raised by the Councillors at the meeting include challenges to proper waste management, delays in the sewerage network project, the need for upgrading healthcare and requirements for additional resources at the school. Discussions were also held regarding the need to enhance policing services and seeking the Administration’s assistance to promote tourism.
Speaking at the meeting, President Solih affirmed that the Administration would work with relevant stakeholders to address the concerns raised by the Councillors.
