President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has conveyed felicitations to the public on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) Eid Milad ul-Nabi.

In his message, President Solih stated that utmost precedence should be given to propagate the virtues of Islam in our hearts, bestowed upon us from the Almighty Allah through his messenger, Muhammad Rasūl Allāh Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (SAW), as we celebrate the holy occasion of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) Eid Milad ul-Nabi. The President conveyed felicitations to the leaders of Islamic countries and to all muslims celebrating the occasion across the globe.

President Solih stressed that the occasion is celebrated with a great purpose, and that the most important lesson that we must learn from the occasion is to follow the footsteps of the beloved Prophet by adhering to Sunnah and to incorporate the teachings into all aspects of our life. The President highlighted that the most humble behaviour was taught to us through the teachings of Sunnah.

The President further stated that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) put forth teachings of Islam to greet one another with love and affection. He asserted that Islam guides us to respect each other, forgive and to refrain from revenge.

President Solih added that we must learn from the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who depicted total honesty, trustworthiness and loyalty to the highest standard known to mankind.

The President also called on the public to adhere to the Islamic virtues taught through the teachings of the Prophet and to nurture faith in our hearts.
