President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of condolence to His Excellency Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, following the loss of lives due to a tragic fire incident on a train travelling from Karachi to Rawalpindi.
The President’s message reads as follows:
“I am deeply saddened to hear of the devastating fire on a train travelling through central Pakistan, causing loss of lives and extensive injury to many.
At this time of national grief, the Government and the people of Maldives join me in conveying our profound sympathy to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Pakistan. I wish success in the rescue and recovery effort.
Please also convey our sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved families.”
