Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with Councillors from Ari Atoll Uthuruburi Ukulhas island. The meeting was held this morning at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, the Councillors highlighted pressing issues faced by the island community of Ukulhas and relayed concerns and shared details of ongoing developmental efforts in the island and the urgent needs of the islanders. Some issues noted include the need for improving educational facilities at the school, space constraints at the health centre and refining waste management activities in the island.
Vice President Faisal Naseem urged the council to conduct various awareness programmes within the island community to increase workforce participation and the love for islam among the youth of the island. He advised the members of the council to take a proactive approach to involve the youth in various activities within the island to ensure equal participation from all youth.
Speaking on the issues raised by the Councillors, the Vice President stated that the administration would take the necessary action after discussing with relevant ministries to address the specific issues and concerns.
