President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with members of island and atoll councils from Gaafu Alifu and Gaafu Dhaalu atolls.
During the separate meetings held at the G. Dh Thinadhoo Island Council Headquarters, the President met with Councillors from G.Dh Gadhdhoo, G.Dh Faresmaathodaa, G. A Dhaandhoo, G.A Gemanafushi and Atoll Councillors of Gaafu Alifu Atoll.
The Councillors discussed several of the most immediate and pertinent issues faced by their constituents, including future developmental projects and suggestions to improve operations and efficiency of important institutions. They also noted hindrances and opportunities towards economic progress in sectors such as youth, sports, health, education and employment.
The President noted that he would share all individual concerns and ideas shared by the councillors during the meetings with the relevant institutions and line ministries, and begin taking steps to aid in finding appropriate solutions.
