President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed warm greetings and sincere good wishes to leaders of Islamic nations on the occasion of the Islamic New Year 1447 AH.
Extending his wishes on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, the President expressed hope for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead, praying for Allah’s blessings and guidance for all Muslim nations.
He also reiterated his call for solidarity with the people of Palestine, urging the Muslim world to intensify its collective efforts, with compassion and resolve, to alleviate the suffering endured by Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. The President reaffirmed the Maldives’ unwavering support for the realisation of an independent State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Concluding his messages, President Dr Muizzu prayed for peace, justice, and relief for oppressed Muslim communities across the globe, and for a year defined by solidarity and resilience.
