President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with the members of Maldives National Volley team traveling to Serbia later tonight for further training to get ready for the upcoming Indian Oceans Island Games (IOIG). The meeting was held at Mulee’aage this evening.
Speaking during the meeting, President emphasized that this is the first time that the national volley team was traveling to Europe for training and urged the team to utilize this precious opportunity and reap its full benefit in getting the training needed to get ready for the IOIG. He further stated that the hope is that the Maldives National Volley team will achieve a medal in the upcoming IOIG with the help of the training in Serbia.
Moreover, speaking on behalf of the team, the coach of Maldives National Volley team highlighted that Serbia is currently raking in the 10th place in Volley in the whole world and assured the President that the team would bring success in the IOIG.
